Toad Lillie is the passion of designer Laurie Shapiro. Having studied figurative drawing and sculpture at the prestigious School of the Art Institute in Chicago, it was Laurie's work with the Chicago Historical Society's Costume Department that led her to garment construction and design. A self-taught seamstress and designer, Laurie's deep love of vintage couture gowns inspired her to create a line of decadent intimates that bring all of the glamour and drama of evening gowns into wearable and accessible luxuries.
